Dallas: Hotel ZaZa: "ZaZa has beauty, style, fun and service"

My boyfriend took me to stay at the ZaZa last month for my birthday, and we loved it. They style and decor of the place is very unique, hip and cool. The room was terrific, and all the nice little touches like the Hollywood B&W photos and the engraved glass with the quotes were unique. The service was nice, we sat out by the pool having a glass of wine upon arrival while waiting to go to dinner. The pool/courtyard area is like a Mediterranean villa, and the hotel is very lovely. We had a splendid time and I definitely recommend this hotel. It is also in a terrific location and you can walk to many restaurants, shops and nightclubs.

Dallas: Hotel ZaZa: "Unbelievable"

Oh my! What a weekend. My five girlfriends and I just got back from Hotel Zaza and all I can say is when does the included stuff stop! We did a girlfriends package. It was $700 a night for three per roon (about $230 a person). We had two rooms. Sounds a little pricey until you figure out what all is included. We each got an $80 credit at the spa which would basically cover the cost of an hour massage (sort of small place but sized appropriately for the hotel...fabulous massages, manicures & pedicures and much more). Then, it included your room being on the concierge level (the forth floor). This included free valet parking, complimentary snacks/drinks twice a day at the butler's pantry and a free room service breakfast for each of us. Then we each got free brunch at the restaurant (Dragonfly). We also got one free movie PPV per room! Free shuttle service in a fun Cadillac Escalade (which purple under lights). It goes to or from anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel. Everywhere we went people though celebrities were getting out of the car. Then in our rooms was a huge leopard print box with tons of snacks and goodies. What a package. I could go on and on with the surprises. Our room overlooked the pool (which turns into the bar spill over at night...great people watching, we could even see all the comings and goings at the valet circle drive). Lastly was got a late 1:00 check out at no additional charge (it was only an hour, but we needed all we could get).
Reviews of all of the services...
- Valet was so friendly and very informative (the shuttle took a minute to get, but it was well worth it). Our shuttle drivers where SOOO fun!
- The bellmen where also great (a little delay on the way out, but there was a bus load of someones entourage just arriving so it was completely understandable...this is definately the place in Dallas for celebrity citings)
- The front desk was incredibly nice (answered all of our questions without even a hestation). Our room was even ready early, so we got to check in at 11 (vs. 4).
- Housekeeping came very quickly to deliver some extra sheets, pillows and blankets (there weren't enough robes for each person staying, but that was easily remidied when we went for our spa services...there should have been three per room though...also, the ironing board is stored under the bed in case you can't find it :)
- Room service was right on time with great food and they were very courteous.
- The rooms themselves where so great. So spacious and they were only standard rooms. The chaise lounge in the room is so long and wide a person can sleep on it (which we did since no one wanted to share a double bed).
- The wait staff at Dragonfly was so great. They were so fun and accomodating it was unbelievable.
-Last but not least, the spa staff was wonderful. They were so accomodating to our schedule changes and questions. Fun to talk with during our services, etc. We had a great afternoon there.
Thank you Hotel Zaza for a fabulous weekend. We did not encounter even one discourteous person. Not to mention that they all seemed to love their jobs. It must be a wonderful work environment for every single department. So many times you run into people in the service industry who are horrible and you wonder why they have the job they have. Not in this case at all. Everyone was having such a good time. What a fun, fun place to stay. You must go.
Please note that the package we got is no longer available. Now it includes a whole day spa package and costs more, but there are other packages. I highly recommend them. If Hotel Zaza is reading this, bring this one back so we can book it again!
For those looking for even more fun, then have some fabulous themed rooms that would be so fun to stay it. And right now they are having a special for 33% off those rooms on weekdays. FYI on a good deal.
Have fun! It's well worth it.
